No, the GOP's borrow and spend philosphy is bull shite. It's not a good long term strategy. For a long time, The GOP got a lot of votes because of the promise to cut taxes but you aren't even winning on that anymore.
The GOP is going to become more and more irrelevant as the years go by.

If anyone is to be burdened with the mantle of borrow-and-spend currently, it's the Democrat party and there's not a shred of data you can produce that shows otherwise. I, on the other hand, have proven my point with the White House's own data.

The problem with these two philosophies is that they aren't anything more than placebos. You could tax the rich at 100% and you still wouldn't make much of a dent in the yearly deficit (much less paying down the debt) and we have already tried to spend our way out and that's gotten us nothing but more debt and a plate full of bankrupt companies that were coincidentally big political supporters of the President.

And once they got back in in 2001, they repeated it
