No, the GOP's borrow and spend philosphy is bull shite. It's not a good long term strategy. For a long time, The GOP got a lot of votes because of the promise to cut taxes but you aren't even winning on that anymore.

The GOP is going to become more and more irrelevant as the years go by.

The only desk you have ever had was in high school. You are unemployed and poor...and that makes me happy.

The entire GOP revolution was a war on the poor.

Republicans don't take up for the poor. They take up for the wealthy.

And because of years of being asshats, you may never win another national election again.

Please expand on this. What did they do for you to say the the GOP has been at war with the poor? Something specific please.

Yep.
If someone had told Bill Clinton the same thing, he'd have thought it was an agenda item for a mid-morning oval office meeting.

Who has had the most control since 2006? The Dems.
Who has presided over the most deficit spending in the history of this country? The Dems.
Who has spent the most total deficit Dollars since 2000? The Dems.
Who has spent the most deficit Dollars on a year-to-year average? The Dems.

If anyone is to be burdened with the mantle of borrow-and-spend currently, it's the Democrat party and there's not a shred of data you can produce that shows otherwise. I, on the other hand, have proven my point with the White House's own data.

quote:

For a long time, The GOP got a lot of votes because of the promise to cut taxes but you aren't even winning on that anymore.

And why is that? Who is pushing the erroneous belief that the best way to fix the economy is to raise taxes? Who is pushing the falsity that the Bush tax cuts were "tax cuts for the rich" and haven't increased revenues?

The entire contract on America was a war on the poor.

Because the GOP is the only political party that runs a deficit to pay for government. How can you seriously type that out?

Let me end the debate for you: Obama isn't serious about curbing the deficit just like the long line of Presidents before him.

What has he done to deserve that? Spending more deficit Dollars than any other President and in less than half the time it took his predecessor?

He will.

How? His two big plans seem to be "tax the rich" and "spend our way out of it".

The problem with these two philosophies is that they aren't anything more than placebos. You could tax the rich at 100% and you still wouldn't make much of a dent in the yearly deficit (much less paying down the debt) and we have already tried to spend our way out and that's gotten us nothing but more debt and a plate full of bankrupt companies that were coincidentally big political supporters of the President.

Funny. More people got off government assistance and went into the work force during the Contract With America years than at any other time in the country's history.

Sorry, the GOP basically invented borrow and spend in the 80's

And once they got back in in 2001, they repeated it

quote:

And why is that? Who is pushing the erroneous belief that the best way to fix the economy is to raise taxes? Who is pushing the falsity that the Bush tax cuts were "tax cuts for the rich" and haven't increased revenues?

The American voters are coming to their senses and realizing that GOP economic policy is not a good long term policy.
