| Any experts at economically procuring Super Bowl tickets? (Posted on 12/1/12 at 8:51 am)
Currently Terrace level tix on StubHub are $3000/per. Will prices go up closer to the game? Or will prices go down as people disappointed with the match ups (or when their team gets eliminated) give up their tix? This would be a bucket list event for my dad and his kids (including me of course). He is a NYGiants fan but won't really care who is playing...

Super Bowl bud, not Sugar. It's a very difficult ticket to get regardless of whatever team is in it. Unless you know someone personally with a hookup, I wouldn't plan on purchasing a legit ticket for less than $1,250-$1,500 each. That is, purchasing it more than a day from kickoff. And even at that price, they will likely be upper endzone or terrace tickets. Most all the good seats go to Corporations and Sponsors first. The NFL even grabs half the suites from the owners up front and the owners are required to tag team this event.

Not for the Steelers game. We are selling our Saints game pair though and sticking around for the NOLA Bowl it appears instead.

I think they will go down a little...but not much. You have to have a lot of extra money to waste if you want to go when your team isn't playing

It will depend who is in it. If you just want to go to a Super Bowl, then (realistically) hope for the Patriots out of the AFC, not sure on the NFC, either Giants or 9ers would be my guess. Giants/Pats tickets have been very inexpensive (As far as Super Bowl tickets go, they were going for below face day of the game) the past two times they played, however NOLA is a much more attractive location than either Glendale or Indy. You do NOT want Houston playing, even though they don't have much of a fan base, they are an easy car ride away. You also don't want teams with large fan bases like Chicago or Green Bay there either. I want Chicago because I'm a Bears fan, but I'm praying we get New England if we make it.
