I agree with that
Brees is a fantastic player and deserved to be paid as such - he held out to be paid at a higher level than he deserves tho.
If he was really a team first guy he would have taken just a couple million less to make it less about his ego and more about making this season more successful. He didn't and the season isn't - the criticism he is catching now is deserved in those respects.

I agree with you. I think everybody will have a bad game every once in a while. It's alright, he'll pick it up next week. Future HOF is getting thrashed on these boards, very ridiculous.

Are you saying if he had taken less but nothing else about this season or the players we lost changed he wouldnt deserve this critisism?
or
Are you saying if he had taken less, thus proving he doesnt have an ego or w/e, this season would have been different?
