| The NFC's 6th seed will have 9 wins (Posted on 11/30/12 at 4:54 pm)
I've been playing around with the playoff machine thing on ESPN. I truly believe that if we can win out, we are in. Seattle sucks on the road and they still have the Niners. Minny still has two against the Pack, two against the Bears, and the Texans...ouch. We can take care of the Cowboys. We also can take care of TB, who also plays the Broncos this weekend in Mile High. I think the team we have to watch out for the most could be Washington, considering they have the head to head against us. But they play the Giants and the Ravens in the next two weeks. Now I know our schedule isn't friendly, but hopefully last night will spark this team for the final month of the season. I think Drew will play lights out from here on out. Maybe last night was his "2008 Tebow moment". We shall see.

It isn't that far fetched to make the playoffs. I say about a 30 percent chance with the way the defense is playing. Will be favored in 3 of the 4. Next Sunday against the giants will be do or die!

If Saints and Seahawks both finish at 9-7, they go to the playoffs and we are home. They need to lose 3.

Nope we would have better conference record.

Actually you're right and you're wrong. It all depends on who they lose to.

It would be HUGE if Arizona or St. Louis can beat them. That way they could still beat the Bills, finish 9-7, and we would own tiebreaker.

If Seattle beats the Rams, Cardinals, and Bills but loses to Bears and 49ers, they're record would be 9-7 with an NFC record of 6-6. If the Saints win out they're record would be 9-7 with an NFC record of 7-5. Saints would own tiebreaker, correct?

Plus Seattle is without their starting Cornerbacks for their final 4 games, they have them for this game against the Bears though.

You're also assuming a straight head to head tiebreak with Seattle. It is much more likely that it will be a 3 or even 4 way tie. That's when the Saints conference record and strength of victory will put us ahead of Seattle.

yep, but they are going to lose to Chicago this weekend, then lose their 2 best defensive starters for the last 4 games
