Did the shitstorm of the last 4 years do ANYTHING to show the dems' failure? It got blamed on Bush and the Republicans. How will it be any different now?
Obviously not when you take a glance at the most recent election this month. We are doomed to say the least.

Instead of asking the press, or the janitor, what their budget plan is, why doesn't the House just pass a budget and send it to the Senate? The President has submitted a proposal, as required by the Constitution, but he is not required to send the actual bill to be signed. Maybe if Bahner would show some leadership, pass a budget that makes sense, THEN they could let the Senate reject it and go to the people with it and say, "Look at our budget bill, it makes sense, but we can't get Democrats to sign it." THEN we could lay the blame squarely at the Senate and Executive. Fiscal bills originate in the House, not the Senate nor the Executive. Where is the BILL? Let's see what the House would sign off on, then we'll decide who's being intransigent. until then, it's all posturing. But yeah, let's ask a member of the press corps...

"Makes sense" is a pretty important qualifier here.

What do you mean by my list? Let's look at that last one...
quote:
The plan caps non-defense discretionary spending at $1.028 trillion Another key function of the bill is to eliminate four of six tax brackets, and setting the maximum tax rate at 25 percent for the top earners and 10 percent for lower income families. Rep. Ryan has said that he will pay for these tax cuts by eliminating many of the loopholes in the current tax code that allow many higher-income families and businesses to pay a lower effective tax rate than the current upper limit of 35 percent.
Right. There you have it, blame everyone else. Lower the upper rate from 35% to 25%, and pay for it by removing the loop holes that let them only pay 25% currently. And then everyone else pay 10%. No wonder they're not touting this shite. Why not leave the top rate post Bush cuts, AND remove the loopholes? That budget is NOT going to get the American people on their side. My point is that we need a budget NOW. Submit it to the Senate, and if you think it's a fair bill, promote it to the public. That FY 2013 bill is NOT a good bill, and no one on this board would think it was at this point in time. That bill looks like the mirror image of that crap Obama just submitted. FY 2013 HB: "Just cut non-defense spending, and lower taxes FURTHER." Obama: "We're going to raise some money by taxing the rich more, and then WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!" Neither is realistic much less a good budget. The blame goes to everyone in DC.
