When you have a talented squad that includes Chris Jackson and Shaq, you're likely to attract a lot of casual sports fans.

I used to go to the games when dale brown was coach. I thought it was great as a kid. The thing is I believe lots of those folks tending to be old folks goin with their wives to games. Lots of seniors. These folks are too old or dead now. Lsu basketball will get crazy if we are good again and we get the typical lsu fan to include going to games.

I was in basketball band back in the mid 80's. I can assure you that games this time of year were just as empty back then as they are now.
Johnny Jones will build a great program. He needs some more time to do it.
I love watching "Tuba" play. Makes me proud to have been a band guy.

I always start going mid December, I've had season tix since 97. It's always slow in the beginning. Even in the final four year it was slow until January. When word gets out, people will come

Winning will bring in fans along with a likeable and personable coach like Johnny Jones.
Watching the player and Johnny run over the student section after the game was pretty cool.

What do we have to do? You are seeing it now. Likable coach who works his butt off recruiting. Play an exciting brand of basketball. Promote the hell out of the games and have all kinds of give aways. Actually win games that you have decent crowds for. With the recruits coming next year hopefully we can string together a few tournament teams and then you are set.
Tonight was huge in getting students back at games. Compared to what has been at games it was nice to see at least some students there. Hopefully more and more will come now that they see it is entertaining.

The normal lowers were into it big time. Poor kids tried at key moments to get the cool kids up top to cheer but they couldn't be bothered. Why it's embarrassing to cheer for your team baffles me. I'm glad players acknowledged the ones always there.
Btw years of bball threads the answer is simple...everyone says if you fire current coach they will return and pmac will be packed. Fire Jones

In all honesty, if watching Hickey, JOB3, Carmouche, and Coleman play can't get you to the PMAC then you lead a pretty boring play. These guys play hard and are pretty good to boot
