Why are all "conspiracy theories" viewed as impossible or far fetched?

Isn't it careless to automatically discredit people who attempt to investigate some of these "wild accusations" ?

Do you honestly think none of these far fetched ideas have some truth ? like this one:

LINK

isn't that kind of a big deal ?

with some of the unthinkable things that happen in politics, why is it shameful to discuss concerns like this? And I don't just mean here on td, but just in general ?

Given that the Gulf of Tonkin and The USS Maine incidents have each been exposed, it seems being leery about such thing practical.

To me the real conspiracy is the conspiracy theories

It's almost like there is some government entity that makes up conspiracy theories for people to believe in to distract them from uncovering something tangible and real that might actually enrage the public.

That's what sports, movies, US weekly and reality tv is for.

Yeah, I know TX Tiger is unpopular on here but I love when people don't seem to understand when he talks about the "government's conspiracy theory" concerning 9/11.

Right

But there are people who are interested in politics. And with subcultures like ours there are always going to be a few conspiracy theorists. They're usually crazy and wrong about 90% of what they post. But the other 10% might have some substance and the conspiracy theories discredit that 10%

The mere existence of conspiracy theories has the ability to silence legitimate criticism of government under the guise of the critic being considered a lunatic.

For an analogy, consider the birthers. A lot of birthers may have had legit criticisms of Obama but who is going to listen to a birther?

Governments commit false flag attacks. This is documented.

And yet, if you accuse them of doing it, people will make you look like a looney toon.

Why?

They aren't. Just wacky, nutjob conspiracy theories are viewed as far fetched. Moon landing, 911, etc.

Good point by the OP.

I'd just like to inject, that Alex Jones is only a half truther. He is here to fear monger and bottle up the people that are interested in finding the truth. He is not on our side.. (saw the link was from infowars so I had to say something).

Think about the official 911 Story. It couldn't sound more histerical.

19 hijackers who could barely drive cars outsmarted a 40 billion dollar defense system and flew planes into buildings, one of them being the most secure building on earth (pentagon). All the while avoiding our air defense (because they were in the middle of multiple war games). That story is the one that sounds crazy, the truth is just long-deep and difficult to grasp because it requires a total shake up of your programmed reality.

People that refuse to believe any of the 911 truth are in denial, they don't want to have the floor pulled from under them, which is exactly what happens when you go down that rabbit hole.

Not everything on the 911 truth side is correct, for example loose change is a joke. Alex Jones is a joke.

Guys like Jim Marrs, Robert Griffin, Graham Hancock, and Alan Watt blow the lid off of the subject.

re: Why are all "conspiracy theories" viewed as impossible or far fetched?
I'm all for a good theory that challenges what we are told. Problem is with things go way out there like 9/11. I understand some things may not have occurred exactly as we were told, but the 100s of theories that are just thrown against the wall by 9/11 truthers is just insane. Especially when they try to bend the laws of science and physics to prove their points.
