If that happened, it would set Ole Miss back 10 or more years. Not that Freeze is that good (he seems to be a decent coach) but it would make Mississippi look like a farm club.

I have no doubts he's our head coach for the long haul, this article is just hypothetical conjecture. I just read the article and found it interesting that it was even posted. Wondered what some Tennessee fans were thinking who may have read it.

We really don't know how good Freeze is. He could be decent or the next really good coach. His body of work isn't enough yet. I do know he embarrassed LSU with a 59 man roster.

Yes. There will be a meltdown with anyone not named Gruden.
Strong and Fisher would be small meltdowns. Anyone else would be a massive meltdown.

I live in Tennessee and have a lot of friends who claim they know what's going on. Whether this is the case, I don't know, but they are reputable boosters in Memphis. I've heard that Gruden cancelled his meeting yesterday, pissed off Daddy Haslam, and is waiting for Andy Reid to leave to become the next Eagles head coach.
From what I'm hearing, whether accurate or not, is that the Gruden ship has sailed.

Maybe Freeze realizes that Ole Miss wants a return to 1962 and it's difficult to recruit African Americans to go there?
