Come to my office sometime. We just bought a bottle of Oban and a bottle of Jefferson Reserve for the office bar yesterday.

Didn't read the whole thread, but very recently in Indiana (I'm sure other states as well), you could drink if you were in any seat except the passengers seat in the car. thought this was absolutely stunning

Hell, when I was a kid it was still legal to drive with a drink in your hand - at least in NOLA. When dad would ask one of us to get him another beer, the trick was to call out, "First Sip!" which meant you got to get dad's beer, open it and take the first sip. One stipulation Dad had was "no apple gum". If you were chewing apple flavored gum, you couldn't have First Sip. He hated the smell of that gum.

yes. i still like the smell of an old time beer because of this. i am generally known as a beer snob but this association brings me to PBR in the summertime. Not that Dad drank PBR, but you can't find Regal, Pearl, Jax, anymore

Dad drank Dixie from the can/bottle, and Jax from the tap. I'm no beer snob, I save the snobbery for wine. Don't get me wrong, I like a well crafted beer, but after mowing the lawn on a hot July afternoon, I like an ICE cold PBR - and I'll even drink it from a frozen glass! People disparage the lighter American lagers, but the fact is that we live in a different climate from Europe. It's hotter over here, especially in the South, and those heavy porters and stouts don't seem especially appropriate often times.

States could establish official religions until the First Amendment's Establishment Clause was incorporated against the states in 1947. Everson v. Board of Education And, for WikiTiger, Massachusetts required all males to belong to a church of any denomination from 1780 until 1833. LINK

Used to keep my trusty 870 in the truck of my car because we'd go dove hunting off GSRI Road after school. What about playing grab-ass with the hot receptionist w/o fear of sexual harassment lawsuits?
