Not that Dad drank PBR, but you can't find Regal, Pearl, Jax, anymore
Dad drank Dixie from the can/bottle, and Jax from the tap.
I'm no beer snob, I save the snobbery for wine.
Don't get me wrong, I like a well crafted beer, but after mowing the lawn on a hot July afternoon, I like an ICE cold PBR - and I'll even drink it from a frozen glass!
People disparage the lighter American lagers, but the fact is that we live in a different climate from Europe. It's hotter over here, especially in the South, and those heavy porters and stouts don't seem especially appropriate often times.
