Dude, I've lived and worked in Acadiana for 15 yrs. Ive worked, played, hunted, drank, kids played, sleepovers, talked wives, the fricking whole nine yds with people of Acadiana... This isn't an opinion. This is a fact. And this isn't my opinion. The facts of where they are at speak for themselves, not me posting this on TD. And if you really want to drive a stake at the problem: Ray fricking Authement drove this bus off the cliff a LONG time ago. It didn't happen last year

The name change thing was an incredible waste of energy that could have been directed at stuff that actually mattered (like, I don't know, petitioning CUSA for membership continually, as Tech has done for 10 years). You better yourself by bettering yourself (and, on the field and in the stands, ULL has done this to an extent). You don't better yourself by renaming yourself as something that sounds better than yourself.

nailed it. I have a call out since yesterday for answers from the AD.... First time they have not called back same day. As much shite as Cajun fans talk about LSU, their good ole boy network is much thicker than LsU's and will keep them down much longer. Scott Farmer is lazy and has a sense of "We've made it". Jay is a homer.... Who might becoming a little senile. Dr. SAVOI needs to take full control if there is any chance.

I should also say that I applaud the things that you are bashing here. I think passion from non-LSU state schools is a great thing. I am all for ULL and Tech and their LSU-hating fanbases. That's how alums/fans of a school should be. Its the ULM approach - the 'we hope our team does well, but we know our place, we know that we'll never matter, so go get 'em Tigahs' approach - that's horrible. What a shitty fanbase, if you can even call it that.

Bingo. Last week when some LSU fan started that thread about the near on campus Burger King doing an LSU promotion most of the idiots in there were going on about how no one at ULM or Nicholls would have made them take it down. They're right, those schools have no fans or students with pride in their university. That is an awful thing.

Your trolling of threads regarding the Cajuns can be irritating, but this quote above from you... SPOT F-ING ON.

I would love to see ULL, ULM, La Tech, and LSU be competitive every year. It is good for the state. Hopefully ULM will get a I Bowl bid and pack the house.

Yeah. I don't see why it's a bad thing for students to have pride in their own school. frick a bandwagon.

I know I do and I should be for it. But if you knew what I have done for that school you would be whaaaaaat. My wife graduated from there, I have given countless $$ thru my business to that school. I've sat on boards, I've bought season tix, I've donated time, labor, materials and the lack of leadership and direction is so jaw dropping shocking I gave up. I still hold my baseball tix because I love the game and its a great venue.

ok so you are pissed that ULL has shitty administration. Hasn't that been the problem with them for the longest time? What is your ideal situation for ULL? What would they have to offer any conference looking to expand?

Even though I never voted for Kathleen Blanco for Governor, it's her husband I really can't stand. He was part of the sh-t fest to hire Baldwin. 100% political. Had nothing to do with trying to win and build a better program. Martin Hall has reeked for a long time of the old EWE/Huey P. Long political gang, and power has been their priority, NOT bettering the university.
