Buddy of mine last yr got us all Robes. Haven't worn mine but thought that was a pretty cool gift

Well two are my brothers, (my parents are paying for theirs), one is my future BIL (his parents paying) and one already owns tails that he will wear.

a grand will only be hit if they are flying in from far away which is 3 of them. The other 7 are only paying for rooms and tux. about 400 total.
3 of which are brothers who will have parents paying for it.

I bought each of mine a nice pocketknife. Will last forever & every real man needs a decent knife. Or buy them each an arse dildo.

That number included their share for the rooms for B-party.
I don't include alcohol though.
And the reception is going really late so going out after the wedding isn't happening.

And do you think he won't have to shell out an equal amount for almost all of his groomsmen? I'm certainly not spending $1100 on my groomsmen. I've already spent double that on the 4 weddings I've already stood in, and there are still 4 more I will have to participate in eventually. I'm not made of money, and neither are my friends.

I got mine turkey fryers: burner, pot, thermometer, hook, etc. They seemed to like them. I know several use them still.
If I had to do it again I would do a monogrammed soft side ice chest or a rolling ice chest with their favorite beer inside.
The best one I ever got was a rechargeable mag-light flashlight..

I've been a groomsman in a few weddings, and the best gift I ever received was a duck call with my name engraved on it. The groom and all the groomsmen were all old duck hunting buddies.

I'm not sure why along the way it became to the norm to buy all the groomsmen the same gift. Get each of them a personalized gift instead of giving everyone the same thing.

-Because my family and her family are huge.
-Because mu mother is 1 of 15.
-Because If I started cutting people it would involve my 1st cousin's wives first.
-Because we have a lot of fantastic people in our lives that I would feel horrible if we didn't invite.
-Because we both could and should have about 12 in our bridal party but had to cut it off.
-Because I have 5 brothers (current and future in laws) and 6 great friends that absolutely had to be in my wedding.
-Because I freaking wanted to.
If I wanted input on wiping the elderly's asses or mediocre looking women I would have asked you.
That is my situation so unless you have a good answer or a funny one, kindly go respond to other threads.
