I just finished up with the series. All I can say is, wow. It's hard to pick my favorite episode but it's probably The Little Things were Ken's girlfriend tells him her little secret and he's questioning his sexuality. 
Anybody else want to chime in with their favorite?

One of the best TV series' of all time.
My favorite episode is Mooching and Smooching (or was it vise versa? O well). Such a redeeming episode for Sam and Bill who never catch breaks. Bill is my favorite character.

Was this the one that let them be captains in PE. That was my second favorite episode and very uplifting.

Sam deffinitly sucked.
The ending wasnt really their fault.
Bill is a bause and my favorite TV character ever. He cracked me up everytime he was on screen and ive never rooted so hard for one character in everything he did
I freaked out celebrating when he was making out in the closet with the cheerleader. That was my superbowl

That one was great too. Bill playing shortstop and Sam pitching. I love that Bill calls a timeout and Sam says "Bill that's all I got". Then bill makes a pretty good catch and they all bum rush him and the jerk dude is like "It's the first out of the game you idiots" 
The episode I was talking about is when they went to the party and played spin the bottle and bill got to make out with the chick in the closet. Best moment of the entire series IMO. Bill is so freaking genuine you love that he gets something good happen to him. Then Neil is knocking on the door saying "this is the worst party ever"

Bill and the guidance counselor character are probably my favorite characters.
Everything Bill does cracks me up. In the first episode I think when he talks about how the girl remembering Sam's jacket means that she wants him makes me lose it every time.
The only problem with Bill is that any scene he's in has to have Sam in it, who sucks something fierce.

Agree with all this. Like i said, i stood up and cheered, I was as happy as he was
And on the opposite side of the spectrum for Bill. The episode where he almost dies choked me the hell up.

I know right. I love that it's a really really funny comedy but very real and that you care about the characters. Only one season of this is an even bigger travesty than only one season of Firefly.

Bill has been great in everything hes done
Party Down, Aventureland, his cameos in Undeclared, Knocked up, etc etc
I think hes in Seth Rogans Apocalypse movie coming out next year

Every episode is golden.
Bill is by far the sleeper character that wins your heart by the end of the season. My favortie Bill moments were in "Dead Dogs and Gym Teachers". His scene in the car at the amusement park, distraught and then later the montage of him watching TV while eating cereal is genius. So much emotion in that montage, that kid had acting chops out of this world.

Glad you mentioned it. Great episode and i may or may have not shed a tear for poor Bill in the car. Its such a real moment because you know where Bill is coming from but at the same time you can see the coach really is making an effort and isnt the douche you thought he was. Thats what made it awesome, it was so close to reality you really got into the characters and emotion.
Bills mom was the biggest POS on the show btw fwiw
