Is that anything like freezing? Anyway, I left chicken breasts out last week all night and put them back in the fridge in the AM, 2 days later I baked 'em and ate em, no food poisoning here.

if you left it out to thaw out and it's still cold....would cook the hell out of it though

Your fine unless you keep your house at 90 degrees, just make sure it's cooked well. I left a sink full of redfish filets in the sink to thaw overnight
