4. Sure he's had success and won an FA and CL cup with an English team. However, we just fired a manager who did that in 4 months on the job. So obviously it's about more than that.
For me, it's got disaster written all over it.

yeah saw that as well, not comfortable with letting go of either Lampard (franchise player) or Cole (key player)

Yeah scared without Cole. Bertrand is not near the same ability as Cole right now. But hopefully we can bring in a left back over the summer to make up for Cole even after we get a striker during January.

From what I read it sounded like Lampard and Cole were the ones making the call. Cole's contract is up and hes already been linked to France via his mother.

If Cole goes to France after new tax laws go into place, then he is dumb or PSG is going to pay way to much for him. Lampard probably is gone. He's obviously lost his place in the first team.

I feel the same. His career is kind of sad now. I was a fan of his back in his Pool days but now it seems like injuries, lack of form, and age are going to stop what could have been an incredible career

Well the biggest thing he is missing is Gerrard in his prime. People underestimate the impact Gerrard had on his game.
Rafa may be able to play him in his more natural role, but he will never be the same.
