Washington parish warm and breezy browning .270 discovered a "deer highway" on the property down an old trail towards a small food plot so I threw up an old tree stand about 10am. Kind of close quarters for a scoped rifle buy its my last hunt until next weekend

I just ain't seeing the rut up here in UP I have seen several does with no buck anywhere around but down in Jackson parish they are chasing like crazy. Gonna hunt here in the morning then head down there to see if I can get a big one.
On a positive note I should come home right at the start of the 2nd rut.

Killed three does tonight at the camp.
My SO popped one that came out behind us right before dark. Her little sister got one and a 9 year old got his first deer tonight a nice old 120 lb doe.
