That's who I think it is. I guessed Patterson in SunHog's thread, but the more I think about it the more I think it's Peterson.
I'm always wrong on these things though.

why wouldn't it be Petrino?
-you know what you are getting
-you are going to get him cheaper
-he is going to coach a big job again
it made sense to can him then, but it also makes sense to rehire him now.

What is it with all the rumors about our previous coaches talking to current prospects about our job. Who come up with this stuff? First Petrino has a sit-down with Gruden and now Nutt has a friendly chat with Gundy. I guess people run out of material towards the end of a 7 month long coaching search.

The Nutt and Gundy fireside chat rumor is kinda funny. The admin that fired Nutt is pretty much all retired now or in other roles that the new coach wouldn't have to answer to them at all, on anything.

It sounds really rational to me. If I was a coach, I'd want to talk to a coach that had been at another job if I was considering it.
