Fishing LSU Golf Course (Posted on 11/22/12 at 11:34 pm)
I've had a lot of luck fishing on golf courses (mostly legally) before, and as they are rarely fished they normally yield good results. Has anyone tried to fish the water features at LSU's course? I've always kinda wanted to try but i wanted to do some research first. Catch and release of course

I have only fished it once, and I have cuaght bass there. I keep a pole in the golf bag. Gold blade beetle spin. #3 green I caught a 2 lber, #4 green I caught several small ones.

I think it's time to get some documents from the life sciences building saying I'm doing a survey on the pond's fish population for a pond management class.

Buddy of mine worked at the lsu course during college (within the last year) he fished out there all the time and caught lots of big bass (6-10lbs). He said people jump the fence by Fred's and fish right at dusk. Some ppl get caught some dont. He said the abundance of fish in the lake by hole 7 (new front nine by cow pasture and deaf school) is ridiculous. Happy Fishing.
