Ok, B1G fans, need some help

oops.

Here's the deal: my sister will be driving from Indianapolis to Buffalo during the LSU-Arkansas game. I see ESPN radio will cover it. Any folks along that route- got a good, strong station that can carry you a few miles?

Does she have a way to have her phone play over her radio? If so tell her to download radio pup or tune in radio. Tune in has the BR stations.

ETA: never really listened to ESPN radio, but I know you can google a list of stations that will cover and plan you stations accordingly...I did this traveling to FL once and it worked fairly well

Well, 2 things come into play here. One is she's driving alone, so I'm trying to make it as easy as possible. I'm plotting the course, and I would anticipate Cleveland having a powerful station, for example. That might get you from northern Ohio to damn near Buffalo. I'd like some confirmation on which stations are big, and which have a 20 mile broadcast radius, if that makes sense.

Re the phone apps- she has Tune-in. But- I thought they didn't stream the games? Might they stream a national (CBS Radio or whatever) broadcast, and just not Jim Hawthorne/LSU radio broadcast?

Tell her to download the CBS sports app. Assuming she'll have at least 3G most of the time, she can listen to the broadcast and kinda watch while she's drivin. And it's free.

pics? and usually an AM affiliate has the CBS game on. Good luck finding someone who knows about it though

not too thrilling, unfortunately. Looks like a Yankeefied version of me with long hair and boobs.

Well, not too up on her technique, but she did manage to get married. In the French Quarter, during the Saints Super Bowl run (we actually watched the Cowboys win during the reception. I hate the memories of her wedding ); so I guess she was a keeper. But now you have me confused, she said she came back down to marry the guy, because there wasn't anything but limp, soggy dicks in Ohio. She had to import a good one!

And we have a winner. Thanks for the info, I relayed it

I see it was answered, but if for whatever reason she has difficulty with the app, 97.1 is the FM sports station in Columbus and will likely have the game (I'm guessing the route she's taking is I-70 from Indy to Cbus then northeast on I-71 to Cleveland then east on I-90 to Buffalo). It's a pretty strong station, she should get at least two hours out of it, one hour from Dayton to Cbus then one hour on I-71 north on the way to Cleveland, if not a little more.

Thanks for that. I prefer using straight radio over using phone apps, especially for travelling. Doesn't eat data, and you get traffic

My uninformed guess; the NFL cities should have the game on strong channels, right? Should be able to grab it in Indy, and then maybe pick up 97.1 as mentioned; then hop to Cleveland, then catch it out of Buffalo.

Of course, she has the CBS app loaded now, as a backup. While catching the radio stations is the ideal plan, she would fricking kill me if I sent her a string of stations, and she caught 3 hours of Stephen A Smith ranting about LeBron and Mello, instead of the LSU game. Probably stop in Cleveland and take out a hit, or something. And I wouldn't blame her
