No way I see Cassidy challenging her...he can probably stay in the house till he's dead, assuming no crazy re-districting.

She always intended to vote for ObamaCare. The Medicaid "Fix", was just that. A fix. She was going to get the money anyway, they just used that for cover for her.
I went to a Townhall she had on Obamacare. It was a joke.
She filibustered the thing until people left. She has no interest in listening to the voters of this state.
The only reason she gets re-elected is because of her corrupt machine in NO.

You should really find out what a classic political "machine" is. She doesn't have one. She has organization and a reliable base, but that is not a "machine". See, e.g., old man Dick Daley if you want to know what a "machine" is.

Actually, she reliably votes in Louisiana's interest. Oil, and, ironically, coastal restoration, for a couple of examples.

What decent representative/senator wouldn't? The fact that she voted for obamacare when Louisiana didn't want it is good enough reason to lose her job. She needs to go.

Spare me. Really, how do have so much time to lecture others on semantics? You should really learn what a corrupt political organization/machine the Landrieu family is, with their allies in the city's"benevolent" organizations and Afro-American churches.Along with her friends onSt.Charles Ave.
She's always the first to vote for affirmative action in gov't hiring, clearly going against the wishes of the vast majority of her constituents.
So, she votes right on oil and costal restoration. Big Whoop. That's like Charles Schumer voting to protect Wall St.
She then ignores the state on Left Wing political appointees, domestic spending, and Obamacare. The outcry against the latter was so strong, she just shut down the phones in her offices.

Seems like every here hates her. How does she keep getting re elected.
Do they hate her because she stood for things that were good for the nation but not popular in La like Obama care or is it more than that?
Don't know much about her except family history and the fact she looks like Ms. Piggy

She keeps getting re-elected because her "base" is NO, and combine that with a willingness of the rest of South La. to vote for someone from NO, she's managed to win.
But now, she's extremely beatable. All of those people in the rest of South La., who didn't vote for Obama, and are appalled at her vote on Obamacare, with is provisions on abortion, are no longer in her pocket. Especially with a good GOP candidate from South La. The voters in the northern part of the state can't wait to vote for her opponent. Just ask Bobby Jindal how those voters helped him in his 2nd attempt for the Governor's Mansion.
Whether or not O'Care is good for the nation is a dead horse. The sentiment of the state was so overwhelmingly against it, and she used a phoney Medicaid deal to give her cover to vote for it.
She'll also be running in an off year, so there will be no coattails for her either.
The GOP needs to put forth a really strong candidate, and if they do, she's toast. A really large piece of toast, but toast.

So she wins because she is popular in new Orleans and the rest of South La.? Therefore she gets the most votes. So except for disagreeing with her politics, she wins fair ad square.
Traditional old La election New Orleans candidates vs North La candidates. Get out the votes
