and i don't believe franklin turned down an offer from long-- i don't believe long made an offer to franklin.

False leaks always come out during our coaching searches. Supposedly we hired and got turned down by Jim Grobe and Tommy Bowden during the last coaching search. We also hired and got turned down by Mike Shanahan during our last d coordinator search. NO one knows what is going on with our search except Jeff Long. Any news that originates from these really shitty football websites is complete BS unless it is confirmed by the university.
Acording to the internet we were also turned down by 4 or 5 basket ball coaches before settling on Mike Anderson haha.

Jeff Long is the master of smokescreen, while we were closing the deal with Anderson, he floated Buzz Williams and Ben Howland's name to throw people off.
Nobody will know until it's announced.

Don't forget Tubby Smith being a done deal then he publicly "turning it down" according to the media.
Grobe supposedly being on the plane, the BOT rejecting Bowden, etc.
The best part of all none of this ever happening...
