@thedailybeast: RT @AP: BREAKING: Israel prime minister confirms cease-fire deal.
What didn’t happen yesterday is apparently happening today, that Israel and Hamas have agree to terms for a cease-fire. I’ve yet to hear credible evidence that Israel itself has agreed to it, but Egypt has just announced it and everyone is running with it. According to Fox News the cease-fire will begin at 2PM.

It'll hold for about a year or so and then this whole circus will start all over again. There really is no point in a cease fire because Israel and Hamas will be back at it on down the road.

I do, but often I feel as though Hamas just starts things, runs out of ordnance (or firing positions), THEN runs behind whomever's skirt to get them to get Israel off of them.
Israel has countered, though - when the rockets start firing, they go after a number of bad guys on their high payoff target list, so those missions can be run prior to all that drama in the international press. They used to go after the shooters in a proportional way, but they have adjusted their tactics.
