Okay here is my official prediction.
Offered to Chud or Shotty, due to NFL and Florida connections. If they balk the AD goes to Strong. If all 3 balk they turn to Tubby and hope. If all 4 turn down its a SUN Belt guy, but not the one in the East.

I wish we didn't have to have our guy so soon. After the NFL season ends there's gonna be a handful of coaches wishing they could come here, I don't see any of them pulling a Petrino and just saying Deuces.
As for assistants there's a couple I really, really, really, really would like to see in Fayetteville for awhile.
1) Tracy Rocker. I got a couple chances to talk real folk style with him (that's the only way I converse w/ people, I could care less if you're a celeb, we're all people at the end of the day) and I like him a lot.
2) Mike Singletary. His personality didn't work so well as HC in the NFL, but I think he'd be a hell of a position coach in college while he learned the ropes of running a major program. He'd keep those kids on a straight and narrow and focused bigtime.
3) Perry Fewell. He'll be a NFL HC within the next 3 years, I just think he'd also be a tremendous college coach. He jumped up to the NFL w/ the Jags at the same time Petrino went to the Jags as well. He was in the college ranks for a good while, I hope he gets pissed at being passed over for HC jobs and comes back to college.
If we could somehow get all 3 of those guys on the same defensive staff. Rocker on DL, Singletary on LB, and Fewell on DB.... mother of God.

So far, Gruden Offered. Gruden declines. Gruden offered mega contract by Tenner. Gruden on UA campus. Franklin declines. Cutcliffe flirted. Patterson put in a holding pattern. Bobby Petrino sightings galore.

Ok lets be serious here.
Head Coach--Mike Irwin, he will tell you he has forgotten more football than you will ever learn...he is probably right since he is senile.
Offensive Coord--Bo Mattingly, there is nobody in the state more offensive than this guy his knowledge is limited, like his stature and hair line.
Defensive Coord--Adam Alter, nobody cares about defense and nobody cares about this guy, perfect fit.
Recruiting Coord--Aaron Peters, he always seems to find 18 yr old talent.
None of them will command over 500k, so its a bargain and the Pigs can pump money into that basketball thing.

Spot on. If they'd get Ashley Beck for on-campus recruiting coordinator we'd be set. Can't say no them titties.
I did see today where NEO's coach is stepping down. A smart program would get one of their homeboy assistants the job there, and steer players from Miami to their program.
Arkansas really needs to use Frank Broyles and his network (if it's worth a shite anymore) and get some loyal Arkansas guys coaching at Kansas, Texas, and Mississippi jucos.
