There are also the Korean IPS monitors for $350-400 on ebay. Just grabbed one myself.
What brand did you get? From the same seller as me?

thanx for this thread i have been looking into getting a gaming computer for some of the games, where Mods make it 100000 times better. Skyrim is super vanilla on xbox, but with the mods, it's a great game on pc. the mod creators, just keep making and updating. the game will be good for 2-3 more years because of it

PC Gaming is always the pinnacle of gaming. The best part is the continues effort to squeeze the most performance out of your rig.

Same seller, but I got qnix pixel perfect qx2700. The stand is better than the catleap but not as versatile as the crossover. It was only a few dollars cheaper, and I'm 80% sure I'm going to mount it anyway. It's apparently easy to access the mount vs. the catleap. Curious.. What did you tell him to declare as the value?

I purchased a $300 mount but didn't like the look. Sealed back in the box since I can't return it to NewEgg. Enjoy, 2560x1440p gaming is awesome. Plus the glossy/non-matti finish to the screen makes stuff look great. 2560x1440p > 5860x1080 surround gaming I did not like the surround gaming at all, thought it was terrible. Enjoy!

Yeah, I said yes to marking it as gift but it's not clear to me the limits and whether I'd have to pay any taxes/duties.

I didn't pay anything. They have to include prices for customs and mark as gift to not get taxed on their end. My monitors where here before the DHL tracking could be updated. You should get them Tuesday TBH.

He said it would be an extra 1-2 business days for checking the monitor. I'm surprised his shipping is so fast. I've ordered stuff from china and india and it took 2 weeks minimum.

He told me the same, but it was here in 2days. They might tell everyone that just to account for hiccups in logistics, idk.

Hey in houston, there is a Goodwill electronics store. When I am in town there I drop by to see if there is any deals to be had. Sometimes and only sometimes you can find really good barely used equipment therr for a great price. Nonetheless, I believe it is off of SH 8 over before you get to Park Ten Blvd, or at least I think that is the highway there. Oh and a lot of the sales people have comp experience they help ya select whatever components you're looking for. Just an idea.

As others said, build your own. If you don't know anyone that will do it for you for cheap or free, then your other best bet is ibuypower.com LINK

NCIX deal for a build very similar to mine fractal define r4 windowed 3570k corsair h40 2 extra fans asus 660ti 640w psu 8g of patriot viper 3 ram samsung 840 124gb ssd 2tb seagate barracuda HDD bitfenix alchemy lights for 1199 free shipping you could probably put one together a little bit cheaper if you went with a CM hyper 212 evo heatsink, 1tb hdd, etc but that's a fair deal.

You can get an h100, an 830 instead of an 840 (830s are faster), and a 7950 and be a good bit cheaper, but overall if you're looking prebuilt, it's not a bad deal at all

one thing is that im not sure about mounting an h100 in it. I saw a vid on youtube of top mounting but it required you to run the top cables across the front of the mobo vs behind the MB tray. one nice feature of the r4 is that you can actually move the lower drive cage back about an inch and half using the bottom fan mount holes. that would give you room for a 280mm rad

Good info, I have never used it before and don't anticipate an update anytime soon, but will bookmark it.
