So let me get this straight..
You already had a name that was similar to another poster's name. Created an alter, then somehow managed to choose a name even closer to that poster's name?
Sounds like your fault. You were lucky enough to get the second name activated IMO; hence my no vote.

Nope. I created my original name years ago. Stopped posting for a long time when I got sick and went through my divorce. Closed the email account associated with the username. Came back and tried to get back in my old account. Couldn't. Emailed and never heard back. Created a name similar to my old one and started posting again. Explained the situation very early on (and several times since). Didn't know Pumpkins existed until I saw her post. But thanks anyway.
