re: Are some frats now integrated regarding sexual orientation?

I understand that obviously, but when there are formal events set up like weekly exchanges with sororities, when you literally get to go into their house and handpick your date(s) for the night, and other parties that require having a female date, I'd say joining a fraternity is without a doubt the best way to meet girls in college.

Oh, I am sure frat guys get a lot of girls. I would never dispute that. And I bet frat guys probably get more pussy than a lot of college guys. But that is probably a selection bias, in that, frats are exclusive. They are not going to accept a bunch of ugly guys and/or losers. So its not a fair comparison.

But you don't need to be in a frat to get chicks. Its pretty easy.

if someone wants to join a fraternity, I say go for it. I mean, you got to meet mr right somewhere.

So you played sports? Were you ever subjected to hazing or an "initiation" of sorts? If you're answer is no, I guess "sports" is your coed kickball league or some shite.
i was asked to carry seniors bags on road trips,, I also used the opportunity to put a grass snake into the bag of a player that hated snakes

I was-never asked to carry a bag again,,and someone gave me a lot of beer and we all laughed

i wasn't humiliated in the least I still see theres guy we're all still friends, in fact we're plying golf this weekend

Ehh, valid point, I'll give you that. The social functions do make it that much easier though.

Sorority=/=fraternity.

well actually a lot of sororities are technically a fraternity.

quote:

If you didn't do it, you'll never understand it, and that's ok.

no, I totally get why people do it.
quote:

of trying to act like those that chose to were gay or stupid or whatever it is GDIs like to throw out there

well, apparently quite a few of them were gay. And considering I was a math tutor throughout college, and most of my pupils were in the greek system, I can tell you for sure all my pupils were stupid. So yes, some were gay and stupid.

But its cool. I really don't care. I have quite a few friends that were in frats.

I still don't get giving to your frat in your will.

You went to Rice though, right? Its a bit different in places like Ole Miss and Bama. Granted, I'll give you a pass since you were at least a DJ, which an honorary member of our fraternity did this and got plenty.

whn they found out I was the DJ at Confetti I had ALL THE POWER,, shite they were askng me if I wanted them to carry my bags

As for all the GDI's putting down on all fraternities, no disrespect intended, but don't rant about things you'll never be able to understand, it just makes you seem more idiotic & moronic. You don't know & will never know the brotherhood & the lifetime experiences you missed out on by not being a part of a Greek organization.

Modern age pussies. Do what a real man does and join the military for your hyped-up brotherhood.

yeah, and maybe its different now but I went to quite a few social functions with sororities.

But when I was at LSU, there were more sorority girls than frat guys, so it was pretty lose on social function invites.

What about those that do both? I know a lot of people that are both military and Greek.

Owlie, I must say as much as you're drilling fraternity guys & questioning why they would become a member of such a thing, you were a football player. You are a part of the generations of men who played in the Rice athletics system, listed among a group of men brought together by common goals & ideals. Essentially you, Owlie, could be considered a member of a fraternity of athletes. Think about that for a minute.

Can't argue there. I have several brothers who served, & they are without a doubt another class of men.

I'm going to assume you are a military man yourself. Thank you for serving our country

re: Are some frats now integrated regarding sexual orientation?

quote:

Alright Owlie, you want a legitimate answer then ill give you one-the fraternity that I joined in college had the best social functions & threw the best parties, pulled the hottest girls, & were quite literally the coolest mother frickers on campus. On top of the party atmosphere this group of men were the most athletic coupled with having the highest GPA, & were constantly winning championships & awards between both athletics & academics. Aside from this, this group of men were not part of a normal fraternity background but of that of an order-a group of individuals brought together by like minded goals & ideals. This order was comprised on the ideals of chivalry & gentility that every member held to the highest standards they could. The overall goal of the members of this chapter was to be the best at everything they could achieve, & for the most part, exceeded expectations & were known for being the best. All of these factors intrigued me & made me eager to be involved in all aspects of that order. With that said I am proud to say that I made the right choice in becoming a brother among the members of Kappa Alpha Order.

holy shit

haven't seen someone bite this hard in years
