Can Hill leave next year?? I was talking with some of my buddies and none of us are sure if he can or not. He will be 3 years removed from high school, but 1 of those years he wasnt enrolled anywhere, so does that count as a year of eligibility??
I'm 99% sure it's 3 years after graduating high school period.

Every year people are worried about players leaving early. Do you even follow the program? How many players do you think leave early

Gotcha. Wasnt sure because it was a weird situation. He basically sat out of everything for year. Ok so he can leave. I can actually see Hill leaving before Hilliard. Hill has NFL written all over him. 6'2 235 that can fly and always goes forward. Solid pass catcher too. Hilliard still needs to do some work in the weight room IMO. Hes big, but hes not really a power RB. Hes still good, but I was hoping for a bigger year for Hilliard this year. He started out great against the OOC opponents, but once the SEC play started he slowed down and wasnt able to break that many tackles. Hill on the other hand, came in during SEC play and has played outstanding.

I don't know what the hell has gotten into people lately. Suddenly acting like every decent junior is going to go pro.

i know. If anything, there is a pattern of our best players coming back. Not leaving early

Geez, Justin Vincent ran through holes. Big deal. He had a great Oline, and he got what was there and nothing more. Statistically, he did well, but he never passed the "elite" eye test...especially when he was run down from behind at the start of the BCSCG. The best RB freshman year in LSU history was Hilliard - and not #27.

You do not remember Vincent well. He juked people and broke tackles.

I don't see anyone leaving early from this team. We should have everyone back next year. When Fournette signs we will be losing Ware, Ford, and Blue. Hill could leave after next season, but we'd still have Hilliard. Magee could always be moved back to RB, but I'd like a speed back to throw back there sometimes. Maybe we should save room for one RB!

don't understand not taking rb this year. hill and hilliard could go after next year leaving no depth. why do you have to leave a hole for Fournette if he is the greatest thing since slice bread. what is we take no rb in 2013 and we get fournette and he gets hurt during the year like blue did. what do we have at rb then. no depth at all. don't understand this too good.
What if Fournette goes somewhere else?? Putting your future in the hands of one 17 year old is a hell of a big gamble...We have been burned before, no reason to believe it won't happen again! To me, you take the best available every year...

Vincent averaged 6.5 YPC future NFL 1st rd pick Addai 4.6 YPC that year. so it was a little more than running through holes. Vincent had 54 less carries as a freshman than Dalton Hilliard, yet had over 100 more yards rushing. /thread

I see this as the most likely scenario with Hill very likely to leave after next year. (I do think Ware leaves this year) Hopefully Hilliard improves and becomes a monster as a senior and as you noted perhaps Magee lives up to his promise as well and they give us enough depth to ease LF into his freshman campaign.

I think they're going to use Jeryl Brazil in a lot of different ways next year, offensively. Put him in the slot, put him at tailback, have him returning kicks..dude is phenomenal with the ball in his hands. Gotta utilize that. Tre' White is the one that's gonna be a sick DB, of the two.
