If we don't re-sign Walcott I'm going to [something hyperbolic I'd never actually do].

At first I saw the pics of Mikel, Henry, and Santi and thought, "Yeah, I can fap to this." Then I saw that gif and blew my load immediately.

Big day today, we can potentially advance to knockouts or take over 1st place in the group.

This is the predicted lineup based on current rumors etc. I like that santi is being rested if true, also Gibbs being back + AOC starting will be fun to watch.

No way Santi is being rested. The group is still in doubt. It would be a very surprising move if true.

I don't see the problem, Coq is more than capable as a defensive mid, and Arteta is more than capable moving up into Santi's roll (his more natural position anyhow..)

Coquelin isn't as good at Arteta at DM and Santi is way better at CAM than Arteta. "More than capable" means very little.

And tired players are worse than rested ones as well, you can't play the best 11 every game.

We always go H.A.M. for the Champions League. Rightfully so imo. It gets rank in front of EPL title (which, hahaha, not a chance) priority. edit: which is to say I agree about putting Santi in. absolutely no question

I don't disagree, but there is literally no justifiable reason to play Coquelin at all. He's inexperienced, a player who doesn't stand out in one particular area but does lots of things well. A fine prospect, but I wouldn't want him to play as a single pivot in a game of this importance. Arteta hasn't played as an AM in nearly four seasons, and he's never played that high up the pitch for Arsenal. It would make little sense to change too much for such a big match. My expectation is that players will be rested for Aston Villa.
