I think we can outbid all but a few teams, but I'd be surprised if we got in a bidding war for Briles.

Baylor has resources to match Arkansas if it came to it. I don't think Arkansas wants to mess with his buyout. Starr will go after Arky like he did Clinton.

I don't want someone that doesn't give ANY shits about defense. But I don't see why we wouldn't be able to outbid Baylor. He's only making $2.5MM. I don't think they'd match $4MM when they're happy being a bottom dweller 90% of the time.

Sorry we don't chase the Coach D'Jour. Stan Heath should have taught everyone to not hire the young hot name based off one game or one season.
Our sights are set for someone who can deliver long term sustainable success.

You don't want Briles. He lost 3 games with RG3 as a senior. It may be that he's at Baylor, but he still couldn't do much there (and got blasted by Sleepy Sherm repeatedly).

are you shittin' me? baylor has never stepped up to the big boy's league in coaches. i know they are building a new stadium but that's probably gonna tap 'em out. i say arky can trump baylor's bid anyday.

Arkansas needs to hire a coach who wants to build a killer defense. Can be an offensive guy as long as you lock up a great DC. But, I'd go after a guy similar to Pelini, Muschamp, etc. Is Kirby Smart that guy?
