| Charles Brown Appreciation Thread (Posted on 11/17/12 at 10:44 am)
Brown came up big for us against the Falcons last week and it looks like he's going to be starting for at least the next 2-3 weeks. If we're going to make a playoff push, we've got to have unsung second stringers like Charlie Brown step up. Keep Brees upright and we win- it's that simple.

Good to see him not be a glaring weakness.

said before, him performing as a reliable starter will be a huge factor as the Saints ponder whether to re-up Bushrod or what the long term situation is for Strief. He was talked up as a guy with first round potential but needed more honing. Hopefully the hone is on. It requires a little patience from fans but this regime has been great about not just picking what might appear as obscure guys but taking the time to develop them. Remember Bushrod only appeared in 3 games at all on special teams for two years, then he stepped right into the starter role. Next man up! Brown started as a TE at USC. Would love to see him catch a TD pass as "reporting as eligible"- like the dirty birds did last week. What game was it that Strief couldn't make the catch when they finally dialed that up for him? Pittsburgh?

Winner, winner. It was Pittsburgh in 2010. Nice little piece of trivia right there...

I know. Who knew Les Miles' head on a Charlie Brown body could be so unsettling.

Strief needs to get in better shape if you ask me. Dude seems fat and out of shape. I like him, but he needs to be better conditioned.

This At practices, he looks very out shape and not flexible at all. Cant really do any of the stretches correctly
