I'm sure you could find a "no-kill" shelter somewhere.

I know of a few no-kill shelters in the area. I will of course try them, but most are pretty averse to taking pit bulls as they are hard to adopt out(or give away obviously).

Call the folks in New Orleans that run the pit bull rescue that's on TV. Maybe they can come get it or at least direct you to a purebred rescue group.

Gf just mentioned that. Maybe will give it call.

Is it true that pitbulls kill innocent children for no reason?

Hopefully you find a good home for him.

The people making jokes about killing this innocent dog are fricked up.

He looks evil. Like he has a thirst for baby blood.

Anyone think there is liability involved if you give away a killing machine and it ends up killing?

Try the Pitt rescue. My vet does their vetwork. I will email her a link to the thread.

Get him to the rescue. They can evaluate his health, propensities, etc. Not safe to just give him to a regular folk. Rescue will do the right thing. You know nothing about his history. Also, the original owner may look there and if decent, can get him back.

Instead of giving him away, maybe attempt to find the owner? Or was it clear he was abandoned? Listens, and friendly to people is normally a good sign he had someone caring for him.
