| Who is our next great Freshman Running back? (Posted on 11/17/12 at 10:58 am)
With the addition of Hill this year and Hillard last year, I wondered how we are doing in recruiting another great running back?

We aren't taking a RB in 2013 because Leonard Fournette is our guy for 2014 and will be the best freshman RB LSU has ever had.

This. Weve actually turned down a couple good RBs in this years class just for Leonard Fournette.

True, but we'll use Brazil there, as a change of pace. The 14 class will be special.

Ive been under the impression that we are going to have Brazil playing DB and being our return guy. Id love to see the kid get some touches on O, but everything Ive heard is hes going to be a CB.

agree we are not taking a rb in 2013 but adam taylor (katy) rushed for 225 yards and 4 tds on 15 carries in playoff game. fwiw.

He'll be good, wherever, but watching the allstar practices/games, he was beaten quite a bit on D, but did show great make-up speed, after getting beat. To me, he didn't have the hips to be an elite cover guy. But when they put him in on offense, he completely changed the games. Speed to burn. He needs the ball in his hands, but coaches know more, and also work recruiting angles.....White,Jefferson, and Robinson are more likely on D....IMO.

I gotcha. I havent seen him play that much except for what Ive seen in his highlights. And he has speed to burn. No doubt. Wherever he plays he will make a difference. And I think i remember reading something where the coaching staff was saying how raw he was at CB and hasnt been coached that well at the CB spot, but he has the tools to be a great CB. White and Robinson are without a doubt CBs. Ive heard Jefferson might be the 1 that plays WR.

Now this I can see, but with a logjam at WR, I think they take a long look at him at cb.

don't understand not taking rb this year. hill and hilliard could go after next year leaving no depth. why do you have to leave a hole for Fournette if he is the greatest thing since slice bread. what is we take no rb in 2013 and we get fournette and he gets hurt during the year like blue did. what do we have at rb then. no depth at all. don't understand this too good.

I highly doubt they leave at the same time.

Can Hill leave next year?? I was talking with some of my buddies and none of us are sure if he can or not. He will be 3 years removed from high school, but 1 of those years he wasnt enrolled anywhere, so does that count as a year of eligibility??
