Toddler just woke up, which is not normal. Crying, so i go in there. He was curled up in his ready-for-sleep position. I put his Nuk in, which usually does the trick, but nothing changed. Then we noticed he's shaking, like he's cold. Also, he didn't stand up in crib, like he wanted to be picked up, which is strange. Took temp, running just over 100,. Now he is laying next to me about 10 mins later, still crying. Changed his diaper, checked for bites but didnt see anything. Ideas?

Definitely keep an eye on him at the minimum. Could be anything with general symptoms like that

Sounds like a flu, maybe. Did you call a dr.?
Shaking definitely means a fever. Do you have any baby Tylenol?

18months, now he's kind of talking every now and then, not making much sense.

Could be running a fever. Make sure the baby is getting fluids and keep track of the number of wet diapers.

I'm sure he's fine and just has a bug man. Just keep an eye on him and monitor his temp. I wouldn't freak out over a 100 degree fever though...toddlers don't have great immune systems they're going to get sick

Just gave him some tylenol in case something was hurting him. Looking at night terrors atm as the culprit, but I don't want it to be something else....

Keeps saying random stuff like the dogs name, uh- oh, and tigers. Its weird though, he'll repeat what we say, but not wake up. No one' s little one here ever had night terrors by chance?
