if you remember the election mapping, blues states weren't really all that blue.
It was primarily a small area in that state, or even 1-2 counties that are so highly populated that it swung the whole state blue.
50 of the highest populated counties house about 100 million people...1 out of 3 Americans live in 50 counties.
if one were to wage war.....
decent movie idea at least?

Great as bluffs - terrible in actual use. You can never control them and they will invariable blow back on you. Chemical weapons are terribly messy, too. Subject to a little more control, but the clean-up would just be atrocious.

You know I was having a very similar discussion with a girl from London. I live in SF, and she says that it's much the same. Of course scenery and accents are different, but the expense, education levels, social scenes, activities, all all are similar.
Metro areas are melting pots from all over the world, and they've become fairly similar all over the world....You goto Moscow, you see skinny jeans and a McDonalds.
But you don't have crawfish boils there, you don't have a softball game, you don't have BBQ's burning, you don't have hay rides and bonfires....you only get those in America.

Supposedly an EMP attack could take out 80% of the country. That Revolution show is about that. Big cities would be the worst place to be in any crisis. First target. Least prepared. Most chaos. Least resources.
