If we're going to talk about random guys, how about Duke Johnson from Da U?

wut? Russell Shepard can't hold Darren Sproles' jock. He's been a huge bust throughout his entire LSU career. That being said, he will probably go undrafted, so the Saints should have a great chance at signing him. I wouldn't bet on him being anything special for an NFL team, though. Besides, the Saints have more pressing needs.

Replacement? Nope but as a very late round pick or UDFA there is more potential there then most.

no Shepard is nowhere nearly as dynamic as sproles. He has straight line speed, but has not exhibited the elusiveness or cut speeds that Sproles has.

Not many other players fit the role like Bush or Sproles. Maybe Kenjon Barner (Org.), D'Anthonty Thomas (Org.) Chris Thompson (FSU) or Andre Ellington (Clem)? Those guys are going to be high draft picks though.
There are plenty of other players you don't know about than just a few of "high picks". The saints have been great at finding those players. Unfortunately shep is not one of them. Cadet > shep

I don't think Cadet > Shepard. Shepard at WR is stupid. He should have been a utility player like a Reggie Bush. 10 carries or so and line up at WR 4-5 times a game. In his career he has 58 carries for 570 yards with 5 TDs. That's 9.8 yards per carry. He's quick and could be a good scat back in the NFL. He's got that same home run potential that Sproles has. If he was a RB for Kansas State or Oregon he'd be a high draft pick if runs a 4.38-4.4. Give me a good reason, beyond he plays for LSU or he's not a starter for LSU (I'm saying he sucks as a WR and is being misused)

He's being used as a RB. And he hasn't beat out Hill.

Chris Thompson is someone the Saints could maybe look at it if they feel the need to start to gather a Sproles replacement, injury concerns will push him back a few rounds probably. Idk if the Saints need to even waste a pick on another HB yet tho

Keiland Williams made an NFL active roster and Charles Scott didn't. Also, are you saying Ware, Ford and Hilliard won't be in the NFL? He's a scat back. LSU doesn't use scat backs. LINK watch the video, pretend he's wearing a Rutger's jersey and then tell me he doesn't have speed, elusiveness and athleticism.

I just don't know why you're even thinking about this position. Talk about a position with the absolute least amount of need on this team.

I think his account has been hacked by someone. I read a dumb shite post and look to the right and i am honestly surprised every time i see Suntiger's name there. Come on dude. You serious with all this or did you leave your TD account on at work? And someone is messing with all of us right now? Because Im serious when i seriously say you cant seriously be being serious right now can you? ETA: If you are being serious and want to talk about what you call "football stuff" Tell me what do you think about Quinton White (Tech), Dee Hart(Bama), or Justin Taylor(Kentucky)? Could they replace sproles?

I like Shep as a Tiger, but seriously, he's not in Sproles' league, even if he makes the league.
