Nobody has addressed your post because it's moronic. It's clear you have a limited understanding of marxism...an even more clear your confirmation bias has made you susceptible to the type of argument the article makes. People aren't responding to you because they are scared of your intellectual capacity....people aren't responding because your intellectual capacity is evident.

Who do you think you're fooling? You constantly e-vent at people's posts. And I'm sorry, calling someone a mother-fricker indicates a pretty pitiful sense of humor. You must surround yourself with a pretty sour set of folks.

What is the "unlimited" understanding of Marxism that makes this post "moronic"? I'll wait.

Define Marxist in it's true definition of the word. Then show me how this relates to conservatives. Did you begin this to simply get hits or are you posting from a mental hospital?

Moreover, it seems on this board that everyone thinks that all inquiries into the truth or analyses of politics and economics are "biased," motivated by "power" etc. What is this if not an outright relativism to rival even the most strident Nietzschean?
Hmmmm. . . . very interesting food for thought. Thanks for posting.

David Axelrod is right. Romney’s post-election remarks suggest that he’s stuck in the 47% mentality. It’s a gray place, one that essentially says that Blacks, Hispanics, and other who voted for Barack Obama aren’t concerned about the common good, but just about themselves. Not a message likely to win their votes any time soon.
The fact it isn't a winner doesn't change the truth of the statement.

I don’t deny the importance of pork. I lived for 20 years in Nebraska, and so I’m not unfamiliar with the “extraordinary gifts” known as agricultural policy. But it seems that today’s Republican Party is dominated by a perverse economic materialism that’s positively Marxist in its mechanical determinism. The idea that black or Hispanic voters tilt heavily Democratic because they’re “bought” by government handouts reflects a mentality that is extremely ideological. Hasn’t Mitt Romey ever heard of Lyndon Johnson. His “gift” to blacks was the Civil Rights Act. Or Barry Goldwater, the Republican who ran against him in 1964. He voted against the Civil Rights Act.
I don't get this statement, he says it's ridiculous to say democrats buy minorities, then lists an example of democrats buying minorities.

No and your linked article does nothing to further such a far fetched notion. Republicans by and large are free market capitalists well represented by the highly successful businessman, Mitt Romney. America lost a great opportunity to hire an extremely well qualified business leader to help get our fiscal house in order. Obama and the Dems basically see Socialism and redistribution of wealth as the solution to our economic problems. By the end of Obama's 4 years, I think we will know who has the correct approach. If the economy turns around and the deficit is reversed then I will be the first to admit that our electorate was justified in reelecting Obama. But frankly I will be shocked if it happens. Socialism made its greatest inroads with FDR and the New Deal. Since that time Socialism in the U.S. has increased a welfare state of dependency that has undermined the work ethic on which our great nation was founded. Free market enterprise with minimal government intervention is the only economic system that guarantees continuous improvement through healthy competition in the marketplace where consumers pick the winners and losers. Government can help through prudent regulations that create equal opportunity but once you try to guarantee equality of outcomes, you have crossed the line into Communism which is doomed to failure due to human nature.

False. This is far too reductive of conservative thought, and Marxist though, for that matter. You're painting with extremely broad strokes to make this assumption, and so is the author.

Well, agricultural subsidies are not exactly welfare for the masses. But the point is not that economic incentives don't have a part to play in getting people to vote for one party or another, but that people's vote is determined by the material benefits they receive by one party's policies.

No No it really didn't. Neither you nor the OP did anything to establish a foundation to demonstrate how Republicans are in favor of the goverment controlling the markets by government agencies. It's not even a very good reach. It's pathetic and does not serve to make you come off as having some deep insight that nobody has brought up, which is what it's about, trying to be recognized for your deep insight rather than being right. It's dumb.
