Seems to be three batches of people: those that got the shipment email at 3-4am, those that got the backordered email, and those that have not gotten either.

Where do you live? I want to switch to T-Mobile for this reason. I posted a question 2 days ago about their coverage and no one seemed to be sold on the coverage in BR and surrounding areas. I'm paying way too much with Verizon right now.

probably wont help you as i'm in nashville. if it makes a difference when i come down for lsu games coverage seems decent enough but i'll have a trust test once i get my 'super phone' as to how well it works i guess

I ordered 5 phones - all on separate orders. So far I have received one backorder e-mail for one of my orders.
Don't know if the other 4 are going to be delivered in a reasonable time period or if the one e-mail covered all of them.
I got one each for me, my wife, and my 13 year-old triplets (who have never had their own phone before). So don't bother with the "hoarder" comments, because I really dgaf...

Still holding out hope I will get email. XDA is full of people getting shipping emails today. Actually hope all the emails and status is a fluke and it shows up at my office today.

I ordered three minutes after it went on sale and have had to call Google to get any sort of update at all, but of course, they really don't know what they're talking about anyway.
Still have no clue when my phone will ship and I didn't get a backorder email.

Got mine yesterday afternoon. This is my first android device, and this thing is pretty damn sweet. Android isn't as overwhelming as some lead to believe.
