Also, is Zbo out Friday night now?

Does a straight ejection carry an automatic suspension?

I don't know. That ref sucks balls.

Also, Marc bouncing the ball of Westbrook's head was the highlight of the night.

I don't think he will have to sit out....Only way he would be suspended is if the league were to review it to see if a suspension is needed. There is no reason for them to review that, so he will not be suspended.

I could be wrong though.

per the ultimate source, wikipedia

quote:

In NBA and most other basketball games, a player or coach is ejected from the game if he accumulates two technical fouls of an unsportsmanlike nature over the course of the game. Participants who commit fouls of violence or enter the stands are ejected summarily regardless of the number of technical fouls accumulated. Ejected players/coaches must leave the court area for the remainder of play, and must do so immediately, or else risk even heavier fines/suspensions. In the NBA, an ejection will result in, at minimum, a $1,000 fine; an ejection for leaving the bench during a fight carries at least a one-game suspension as well. In domestic games, refusing to leave after being ejected can result in a player being put on report. If being put on report does not provide enough encouragement for a player to leave the court, the official may award the game to the opposing team, regardless of score. Players who incur 16 technical fouls in a single NBA season are automatically suspended for one game; an additional suspension is imposed for each increment of two thereafter. Should a player receive the 16th technical foul in the last regular-season game, he will be suspended for the first game in the next season, unless if his team is in the playoffs, when he will be suspended for the first playoff game. In the playoffs, players are suspended if they receive seven technicals.

seems like he'll play in our 20 point win against the knicks.

The Knicks have to face us on the back end of back to back games. Jason Kidd might disintegrate

Grizzlies vs. Knicks

Where, when: FedExForum, 8:30 p.m.

TV, radio: ESPN; WMFS 92.9 FM/680 AM

Records: Grizzlies 6-1; Knicks 6-0

Lineups

Grizzlies: Mike Conley, 6-1, Tony Allen, 6-4, Rudy Gay, 6-8, Zach Randolph, 6-9, Marc Gasol, 7-1.

Knicks: Jason Kidd, 6-4, Raymond Felton, 6-1, Carmelo Anthony, 6-8, Ronnie Brewer, 6-7, Tyson Chandler, 7-1.

The skinny

Memphis is shooting for its seventh straight win since losing the season opener on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Griz also want to extend their franchise-record regular season home winning streak to 14 games. Memphis has been propelled by an improved offense. The Griz are 5-0 this season when reaching 100 points. Entering Thursday's game at San Antonio, the Knicks' success could be attributed to their solid play on both ends of the court. They are among the league leaders with 103.4 points per game and sit atop the NBA with an average of 87.8 points allowed. Who to watch? Gay, who averaged 24.5 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists on 50-percent shooting in the last two games against Miami and Oklahoma City.

ESPN 5 for 5. wests best player.

LINK

Cavan: Lobsanity. An impressive all-phases takedown of the champs aside, the Clippers are second in the West in point differential (+7.6), third overall in offensive efficiency (106.5) and 11th in defense (97.8), and they boast a bench so deep that Trey Thompkins has to wear scuba gear to stave off the bends. It's too early to be measuring out Staples rafter space, but this team has a contender's makings.

Chau: The Grizzlies. Before the season, it really looked like the Grizzlies were tapping on a glass ceiling. But the team has added some glamour to its grit and grind with a newfound touch from the perimeter. Memphis is still a shutdown force on defense, and its offense is no longer a liability. It has made quite the difference so far.

McNeill: The Memphis Grizzlies have the West's best record, including wins over Miami and Oklahoma City, and the third-best point differential in the league. They are big and tough and have shown they can win in the playoffs. When they get a healthy Darrell Arthur back, Memphis will be scary.

Schiller: The Memphis Grizzlies. Zach Randolph looks healthy, Mike Conley Jr. and Marc Gasol continue to improve, and the Bayless/Ellington/Pondexter bench unit won't miss 3s. Suddenly, they don't have to win just with their defense anymore. As with the Knicks, we need to see what happens when the shooting regresses, but with wins against both 2012 finalists, this team looks scary.

Strauss: The Grizzlies. This complete team is defined by its lack of stars, but it might just be growing one. Marc Gasol is a woolly mammoth of a man who passes with point guard skill. His assists are stoking a newly efficient offense, and his defense remains smothering.

Wallace: The Grizzlies. They're off to the best start in franchise history after beating Miami and Oklahoma City, last season's Finals participants, in consecutive games. Rudy Gay is performing like a franchise player and Marc Gasol has taken the lead as the better of the Gasol brothers with his playmaking and versatility.

I'm not at all trolling here:

But are you guys finally going to start selling out regular season games consistently?

who in the NBA consistently sells out regular season games?

we'll sell out weekends and ESPN games, but we'll never sell out Tuesday night match ups against the Bobcats.

True but you have to admit you guys have some pretty soft crowds during the regular season considering how damn good the Grizz are.

I don't know about anyone else in the crowd but I am hard 20 minutes prior before the game until the last second expires. The only game I didn't keep a full erection was when the wacky tube guy at halftime freaked me out.

When I heard about the hallway thing I knew Zack wasn't someone Perkins would really want a piece of. Have heard about Perkins being a badass but no one keeps it more real than Randolph. Met Zack when he was a rookie with Portland & saw him twice a year through 2008. Nice guy but not someone who plays around. Was so glad when he went to Memphis because Portland got rid of everyone good they had and left him with a bunch of journeymen and rookies.

If Jerry Stackhouse wasn't 40 something he'd be on that list too

You know the Stackhouse stuff is true when there's multiple articles about him

I saw Kurt Snyder in the locker room hallway at the American Airlines Center right after a couple of Mavs players pulled Stack off. Two more players got Snyder out the door. If I had walked past them half a minute sooner I'd have seen the whole thing.

Gary Trent was another NBA fighter. After he and a couple of Warriors got kicked out of a game, he went into the visitors locker room and attacked Vonteego Cummings in the shower. It's a true story!

ETA: Forgot to the original reason I came to post.
I graduated from high school with one of the Grizzlies Dancers. Not the regular ones, the older ones.
