None of those union members should receive unemployment compensation from any government agency. They were told Hostess would close if the strike continued and they remained on strike.
Screw em. If the union can't pay them will they are unemployed let them live on the streets. It was their decision and their decision alone to strike.

jesus christ man, they are unprofitable as it is and you think they need to cut their prices? I thought you liberals were all about businesses raising the price of their goods to pay for these bloated union salaries and pensions?
ETA: I am convinced you are just trolling now. This isn't even a partisan issue. 5,000 union workers are causing 18,000 workers to lose their jobs because they wouldn't take a pay cut that was needed for the business to stay open. It's just a sad story that has nothing to do with the price of the goods

The union would not allow them to deliver cakes and bread on the same truck. They had to use two seperate trucks to deliver to the same store. Stupid fricks are now unemployed because of dumb shite like that.

Unions at my former employer wouldn't consider a 20% copay for their insurance premium. So my employer moved all their production to Georgia and now the unions don't have to worry about paying20% anymore.

They owe almost a billion dollars to pension funds. Looks deliberate and should be criminal. You don't get into this type of trouble overnight from some high salaries.
I bet the board of directors have been paid in full.

Typical, now its greedy rich CEOs causing this once again.
Not the "bakers" making $25 an hour + benefits and refusing to work because their union leaders are telling them that it is all a bluff and they deserve this payment 
You know who else is probably paid in full? The union leaders.

I agree. The union bosses should be in jail for knowingly negotiating something that is mathematically impossible and lying to their union workers that have been paying their dues
