I guess - my gut is 65 years old and handles it fine - no problems at all. Maybe its the mexican I eat or the tobasco or jalapinos or black pepper or whatever. Maybe my stomach sees Popeyes as a mild flavored treat.
Could be beer has formed a protective coating that protects from any external irritation.
