not if you live in nashville. if i want decent red beans, biscuits (yes i love their biscuits so much) and spicy chicken, popeyes fills my belly with a happiness akin to godliness.
the only 'spicy' alternative here are those stupid-ass hot chicken places like prince's which are a gimmick so people can brag about how they ate something 'hot'. 
eta even so i limit my popeye's visits to like once a year because i have absolutely no self control and will eat the hell out some chicken when i do go.

They changed their biscuit recipe sometime in the 90's. They used to be the best by far, no they are flat and just okay. I think Church's has the best biscuits now.

This. I still want to know where these incredible Popeyes biscuits are. Here in the Jackson area, even McDonald's biscuits are better than Popeyes. And both of those don't even compare to a Hardee's biscuit.

i broke down after all the Popeyes talk and went and got a 5 piece spicy with mash potatoes, it was bomb. but ever since it's like my body has been in a tail spin, i have had cold sweets, it's like a hot coal is working its way through my intestines, my TMJ condition came back last night out of nowhere, i'm a mess. my body just can't handle that kind of fried spicyness. and it hasn't even come out yet, which i'm really afraid of

You guys complaining about your guts after Popeye's must be wimps. Eating that stuff is good for you. Take a Tums and quit whining. What do you eat if not Popeye's? Crawfish ? Shrimp? Jambo? Popeye's is no worse than any of those.
You'd die if you ate any BBQ I guess!
