It's better as something in a glaze on a cake, or something like a rum cake. It will do the job as a drink, but it's sweeter than crown and the taste is almost like drinking the syrup...VERY strong maple flavor. Not as thick as the syrup, but a little thicker than normal. I won't buy it again; it's more of a novelty to me.

Imagine Aunt Jemaima swirled in a bottle of Crown, as overrated as it is already. It is on the market to compete with all the honey whiskeys. Thats it and thats all. Pass!

I like Crown, so I when the bartender at my river bar got a bottle, I tried it. Sipping on the rocks, it's pretty good. Sweet, and definitely a strong maple overtone. Like Maker's Mint Julep, I enjoy one per session, but that's plenty.

I picked some of this stuff up friday.
I thought it was pretty damn good. I'm not a bourbon/whiskey on the rocks guy. Sometimes i'll have it with water, but usually i mix with coke (but rarely drink it nowadays). But this Crown maple on the rocks was tasty. Perfect for a cold night.

I haven't had this yet but I enjoyed Jack Daniels Honey. I'd drink a glass or two after dinner which it was perfect for.

Yeah, drinking a honey whiskey or crown maple with a coke or dr. pepper would be huge overkill.

Had CR Maple with water at the bar this past weekend. I enjoyed it but it's not something I'll probably drink every weekend. Dessert liquor.
