| Can we call it genocide now? (Posted on 11/15/12 at 1:14 pm)
80,000 to 0
quote:
(ANSAmed) - Vatican City - The last Christian who was in the centre of Homs was killed, after the civilian population was evacuated due to widespread fighting in other areas of Syria.
This comes the same day as the destruction of four churches and the assassination of an Orthodox priest who was involved in local government.

I'd say so. This is tragic. The Middle East is such a mess.

Other sources (including a recent census) on Homs.

No, that is how many Christians were in Homs before the fighting. You do know that genocide includes targeted displacement, right?

That would be ethnic cleansing, but all of this is just collateral damage of the Zionist project. Lebanese christians pay the price for the security of greater israel and jesus is happy.

tell me this, Mr anti-semite: 1) What would happen if all Israel's enemies in the middle east laid down their weapons?? 2) What would happen if Israel laid down theirs?? I think we all know that 1)there would be peace and 2)Israel would be annhilated.....

I can't imagine why any Christians still want to live in the Muslim world. If I were them I'd have gotten out centuries ago.

Yes, Israel can kill whom they choose because of their security, Palestinians have no rights because Israel needs security (the occupied lands). Israel is above the law of man because Jesus loves israel.

What should have been the Israeli response to the Hamas rockets? To other posters: I know CT's leanings but I often find it interesting to get his point of view when pressed for specifics.

80,000 to 0? Those Christians must be pussies if they let 80,000 of their own die and they didn't even get ONE of them back.

That really isn't an important question. Israel is going to do what it needs to do to maintian the status quo as long as we enable them. Doesn't matter if they kill thousands in Lebbanon or hundreds in Gaza, we protect them from the consequences of their crimes. If Israel wants peace it should allow the existence of neighbors that can control their territory and states that can be punished if they don't. A weak Palestine authority and a fractured Lebanon will always house terrorists. If Lebanon and Palestine were stable you could act with state actors like you do with Egypt and Jordan. Israel wants the land of the palestinians they don't want peace on any terms but their own.

Iraq. There are almost no Chaldeans left. The Copts, as of now, are ok. But the new Coptic Orthodox Pope is threatening to pull his reps from the Parliament if Coptic security is ignored. There are attacks on Christians almost daily in Nigeria.
