It seems to me that runners seem to have the highest douche quotient out of all recreational sports, due to crap posted on facebook like this:

Most runners are. I enjoy running and used to run 20-30miles a week.
Just the elitist of white ppl being semi-competitive in something and thinking a 10K CCC is achieving greatness.

I agree. If your an athlete you run as part of training for the real sports. It's not a big deal everyone has to do the road work.

eta: i run when my schedule etc don't allow for better forms of exercise/sports/activity. i need the endorphins, and it's free. i do enjoy a good 10K like the Cooper River Bridge Run. But most hardcore runners are ridic.

Cyclers are by far the worse. On par with cyclers are the crossfit cult.
I happen to do both, but I can admit the douchebaggery is very high with those two groups.

Runners are ill informed idiots who don't realize the harm they are doing to their bodies. Running for miles upon miles is a waste of time an destroys your joints. The same exercise/calorie burn/hormonal balance can be accomplished so much more effectively.
