The ones that the writers discussed on the roundtable discussion show the other day on the science channel they would have made had it not been cancelled?
If not, and going from memory there were some pretty bad-ass ideas that never aired:
* Mal and crew arrive on a planet with a few desperate survivors (planet is dying) and realize if they try to bring them on the ship with them, they'll all die unless they happen to run across another ship first. Mal locks crew in ship and alone makes the decision to take off leaving the people on the planet to die and they don't run into any ships meaning they would have all died if he hadn't made that decision. Mal didn't let the crew decide so he alone was responsible.
* Inara captured by reivers but keeps on hand a 'poison' she uses in her vagina to kill someone who tries to rape her. when mal finally finds her, he finds inara alive but a ship full of dead reivers 
* jayne tries to lead his own ship and crew to compete with mal..fails miserably and begs to rejoin mal's crew
those are the ones i remember..i think there were at least 2 or 3 other ideas they mentioned.

I am on the last three episodes (released after being cancelled). At first I didn't get why people were so disappointed, but the last few episodes with the Feds really picked up the pace.
The show started off slow for me, but I like some of the character development and premise.

I could totally see Jayne doing that. Seems like a pretty logical and even predictable plot line for his character.
It's hard to have a second favorite character on the show. Mal became my fav when he shot that cop and tossed his body out the door like it was nothing. and then in the next one when he kicked dude into the engine exhaust.
Inara is hot, Washburne is funny, Jayne is almost as much of a bad arse as Mal plus he is funny. I couldn't pick a 2nd favorite.
Honestly the girl and the Doc seem to do little. The girl could just as easily be a suitcase that everyone is after. The Doc is just plain annoying.
It would be hard for them to make another season of this. Another movie I could see, but they would have to just come together. Hard to see all of them still on Serenity after 10 years.

River looked into a room with three armed men. Screamed "I can't look!". Then proceeded to close her eyes, fire 3 shots, and kill each guard. She then calmly stated that there wasn't a force in the universe that could stop her.
Seems like they were building her up.

The biggest spoiler of all that they discussed...
Inara has a terminal disease. The plan was to reveal this in season 2.

Did they ever consider including alien life forms? Not necessarily sentient.
And yes I know some of the theories that Firefly is in the "Alien" Ridley Scott universe.

completely forgot about that. yep that would have made things interesting.
i think the writers said they were slowly going to reveal a different bombshell about each of the people on the ship.

no shite..you could just watch the interaction between the writers and the cast as they brainstormed and see how much potential this series still had. and this is TEN FREAKING YEARS after it last aired and they've still got a mountain of story ideas to go through. super sad.
even josh teared up a bit "when i look back at what i've achieved..there's this show....then there's everything else"

I really wish there was a way for this show to brought back. Its a shame such a great show was completely wasted.
