It always seems like Jerry wins in the end and Tom gets screwed for being an a-hole, but I think Jerry was the bigger a-hole.
Half the time Tom is just relaxing and Jerry comes out of nowhere to ruin his day.
Example: Tom is relaxing in his hammock with a drink. Jerry decides he wants to use the hammock and proceeds to ruin Tom's good time.
Screw you Jerry. Ya jerk.

Jerry is an ass. I always hated that stupid bastard and would become irate watching that show when Tom was unable to end the little fricker.

in the early episodes, jerry got his shite handed to him as much as tom.
later on it was 100% jerry winning and that took alot of the enjoyment out of the cartoon. its like obama voting results in the philadelphia precincts.

I fricking hated Jerry. Tom was just doing his job as a cat. His job as a cat is to keep the house free of vermin (i.e. Jerry). I guess you could argue that Tom wasn't very good at his job because he never killed Jerry, but he had the deck stacked against him. Even if Tom actually ate Jerry, that son of a bitch would find a way out of it. Lighting matches and shite in Tom's stomach.
