(Posted on 11/15/12 at 12:27 pm) Are there any restrictions on magazine capacities for deer hunting? Wondering if someone could hunt with a 30 round AR magazine or if they would need to get a 5 round. Couldn't find anything in the LDWF regulations. This post was edited on 11/15 at 12:28 pm

(Posted on 11/15/12 at 12:49 pm to Hermit Crab) In a rifle you may use whatever size ammunition conveying mechanism you choose. In a shotgun it's 3 or less in LA. No matter what you hunt. Deer duck wabbit etc...

Just be sure to remove the bottom plate and insert some type of stopper so that no more than 5 rounds can be placed in the magazine. Shotgun max is three rounds and rifle max is 5.
