Exactly. He didn't even have to man up and do it face-to-face. All he had to do was tell ESPN how sorry he was. But the only thing he comes up with is, "I feel no malicious towards that person"? Honesty? I've said in previous threads that losing his job and having to do time were too much punishment for Downing and his wife. Not anymore. I feel sorry for their kid who has to deal with having two shitty human beings for parents.

That's exactly what I took away from the story. These self-absorbed narcissists are everywhere too.

It'd be cool if someone ripped his scrotum off in prison.

After the things I saw in NOLA last January, none of this surprises me. The majority of Bama fans I ran into would have all done the same thing while their female companions stood there cheering it on or laughing.

Not impossible. I feel bad for the victim. He basically missed out on an opportunity to go to LSU over the whole thing.

At a minimum, I'm asking for a new waiter. Most likely, I'm leaving and explaining to the manager that I don't want little curly hairs in my pasta.

I sort of skimmed the article (I really don't care too much about either of these jokers), but how was this deemed to be so?

You are an a-hole, even the kid admits he shouldn't have gotten that drunk. Saying it's basically his fault for passing out is ludicrous. The guy with his faculties more in tact made a stupid stupid decision. As far as I'm concerned he ought to have to change his name to Coward for doing such a thing.

I was thinking this too. I honestly didn't know what his face looked like until this article. I can appreciate his desire to find some closure though and not hide from this.

He voluntarily took himself out of LSU, but plans to go back.

yeah, i don't get people blaming the victim. i mean, jesus, how hard is it not to put your nuts on someone's face?? in other news, i was under the impression that teabagging was when the receiver takes nuts into their mouth. does it bother anyone else that the definition of "teabagging" has been altered due to this incident?

Was Garrison failing the semester and used the teabagging as an excuse to drop out of school. Inquiring minds want to know.

You know what? This is the type article every kid should read. Life is about choices, Downing apparently made the wrong one. I enjoyed it and think it was a good thing.

i do too but this incident i dont believe was the reason he left LSU i thought he said he spent too much time partying and his grades suffered because of it...so i think he went to a CC closer to home to get his grades up and then plans to go back to LSU

I never said it was. I said that real life is better than fiction. You know? As in you can't make this shite up. I was alluding to the fact that the young man who had junk placed on him has the last name Stamp. It brought to mind a term that also includes fungus.
