That's what I'm told at least. I'm not a soot blower but all my friends are. Those programmers are pretty great for tearing your shite apart.

Truck has Spartan 310 tune, 5" Flo-Pro exhaust, and an AFE intake filter. That 5" helped out that truck for sure.

Very good looking cars, but my buddy has one and they are slow as shite. My truck(F250) will blow the doors off of it. Take that with a grain of salt though because I can hang with a Vette until 100. In all seriousness, they put a weak motor in the FR-S to judge the demand. Probably gonna come out with a much stronger version in a year or two
Unless your truck is highly, highly modified you will not keep up with a Corvette until 100, especially a C6. E: just saw that this has already been discussed.

High 12s low 13s. I can't even drive it on the highest setting of the programmer
Got slips? FWIW, low 13s is slower than a Vette...and in most cases, so is high 12s. In order for an F250 to run those times, you need more than a programmer...

Never show all of your cards, right? Auto makers aren't as stupid as you think. They have been doing this since the 60s
Uhh..so, since 60s auto makers have been introducing all new vehicles to the market with weak motors in order to "test" the market and see if people want more power? Wtf? No. Especially not in a car like the FR-S. They didn't give it a lot of power because it wasn't built to be a tire shredding, fuel sucking performance car. It's meant to be an affordable and economical car that you can still take the the auto-x track on the weekends and have fun in in general.

I never said it was fast.
No but you graded two of the OP's options on their quickness - "FR-S is cool but slow", "If you go with the Accord get the big motor because it's fast". Yet you strongly suggest him buy a tdi VW? Sure, they are great cars. But no where near a "sporty" car.

Don't we get into arguments every single time a car thread comes up? I am pretty sure I have won the vast majority of them
No, not really. And I didn't know we had set wins and losses. Who's the ref?

Why are you making joint financial decisions with a woman that you are not married to? Bad move.

That is what it could do with a half-decent driver and the program it is on now. I can still go up 75hp. I have a programmer, exhaust, and intake, so yes it is more than just a programmerquote:

They will come out with a higher hp version within a year or two, book it. Same motor, more power. Pretty easy to do.quote:

Different types of cars. Different strengths/weaknesses. I am not gonna say a Jetta is super fast because that isn't what it is made to do. A 280hp Accord coupe is made to be sportier. Highlight different things in different types of cars. Gotta pick and choose what he wants out of a carquote:

I keep track so don't worry. I can hold my head up higher after winning an e-argument, so I remember

You could also, if you want a coupe, look at an Altima or used G35 or 37

Key word(s): "could do". Go get your slip, then say it'll hang with a vette.

I have no doubt about that at all. But what I'm saying is, they didn't introduce the car with a 200hp 4-cyl. just to test the market. They knew what the market wanted...so that's what they made. Of course they can add more power later.

Well ain't that a motherf*cker...sorry to hear that man. Sure that's not a cheap fix either, don't they pull the entire body off of F250s to fix them??

The smaller turbo is underneath the cowl. No way to get at the heads with the cab on because the intake/exhaust piping is a jumbled mess all compacted in a few bad spots Gonna do EGR delete and solve one more problem. Only thing left is clutches

No offense, but you and bomber are way off. It doesn't take a whole lot of money or parts to turn a diesel 3/4 tin truck into a fast vehicle. Obviously it won't be super reliable, but those trucks are easy to get into low 13, high 12 territory, which is more than enough to hang with a Vette on the street. Let's not forget most drivers aren't going to wring every last tenth out of their Vette, so it's not crazy to think low 13 second truck could in theory hang with a mid 12 capable Vette. For a different expample, I used to have a supercharged '96 4Runner that ran 14.8 @ 89 mph. In that I was able to beat LT1 f-bodies and non-pi Mustang GTs back in the day, because if they screwed up at all I was right there.
